Proformer 20" Mid-BBs

Happy New Year everyone! We are off to a good start as we got the mid-bottom bracket shells. Now its time to get the Chromo tubing bent and cut and setup in the jig. The frame sets are finally on track and will post pics and info once they are close to being finished.

Proformer 20" Update - Headtubes

Well the first hurdle of our Proformer 20" project has been done. We got the Integrated Headtubes from our machine shop and they have been drilled for Gyro Tabs, as this was a big request from our last project. Now we are expecting the Mid-Bottom Brackets to be done 1st week of January. As you can see from the pics there will be only 10 limited edition frame sets being made. Will keep everyone posted on the frame sets as they develop.

Retro Proformer 20" & 24" updates

Just wanted to give the latest update on our current 20" retro Proformer frame sets. There has been some delays with production, but looks like we are making waves this coming week. The main delay was head tubes and bottom brackets from our last machine shop. Now we have new source and are waiting for the gyro tab holes to be drilled. For those who are already waiting for your frame sets, thanks for your patience!

In the meantime, we received some images from current owneres of the last 24" Proformer project. These 3 came out really nice! You can check out these and others on our site under the retro/vintage section.

Knight Retro Goose bike completed

We received lots of great feedback from the old school bmx community. Here is the Retro Goose frame built-up with some parts we had from our collection. The bike handles very nice and stable. We might make some changes to the frame, the seat tube will be extended for those that want to use larger seat post clamps and 14mm sloted drop-outs similiar to the newer frames on the market. This change will allow for more hub and rim options. The 990 brakes will remain under the seat stay for a clean overall look. The current trend for shorter rear ends only allows for 40t and smaller sprocket sizes. Currently running a 40t/14t gear ratio.

There's a BMX Invasion contest happening this weekend, below are the details from Al Domino:

"BMXINVASION BIKE BATTLE #9 BIKE TO SCHOOL AT THE DOME PARK located at 131 Bear Creek
Boulevard, WILKES BARRE PENNSYLVANIA 18705. ON AUGUST 22nd. Registration at 3pm

Knight Hub Guard V2 for Mix Cassette

We have recently revised the Hub guard for the Mix Cassettes. Originally it was designed for park and light street. But since its been very popular with the street guys, we have removed the top lip and increased the overall thickness of the guard. It is a little bit heavier but will last much longer. Here it is on the LTF which has small dropouts and you can still run your wheel slammed.

Nick Valencia In Florida?

Thats right guys this update is from Florida of all places where Im wrapping up a 2 week vacation riding trip. Weather was cold and rainy in the bay area so I opted for a little bit of sunshine and riding in the panhandle beach communities of Florida. Like I said Im wrapping up the trip as I fly out to Ontario Ca tomorrow morning where Ill be racing the ABA So-Cal national in Lake Perris. If you have ever ridden "real ride" or "da compound" the track is right next door and is a must stop on the ABA National Circuit. Rain is forecasted but hopefully it holds out. The race will be webcasted on www.go211.com so check it out if you have a chance and watch for me to be doing my thing on the race side in the tough 19-27 expert class. Lots of exciting trips coming up in March as well as 2 Vegas stops in the next month so check back soon for updates and pictures and all things Knight Bike Co.

i just got my l.t.f "lighter then f@&*" you can figure it out

i traded zack shoemaker for an equal ltf but a gold zinc colored one , and he gave me this sick metalic black one. he was nice enough to painted for me and give me a bb. i love it its a 21 tt and rides like a dream.

it even clears my 23=8 gearing witch is rare , i usualy get chain slap like crazy but not anymore,

this Sunday Doug/Greg/joey and i went up to looke's house and let me tell you wow!!!!

i met him last weekend and he told me about his place and he was not kidding when he told me he had the best back yard ever.

he has a pirate ship, foam pit, trail, tramp bike, a spine mini (in the work's), and the most fun thing of all about 5 big wheels that you can drift down his driveway at full speed it no joke the coolest thing iv'e done in a long time.

the foam pit is the main reason for kids to go out there (if you know looke) things like 720 whips,front flips, 360 flips , double flips, and much more went down when we were there,

also kids doing their very first back flips was fun to watch.

thanks to looke, Steve and looke's parents for letting us ride this bmx play land....

so i have been looking for this car for like a year, finaly i found the perfect car. its all stock, straigt body and 5 speed .

it only cost me 700 dollars and it was worth it, now i need allot of parts, coil overs,pipe,short shifter,wheels,lsd diff and many more.

icerair went down this year, i was there to ride and see the riders kill it on the limited space full of ramps/subs and water puddles. all the credit goes to mike kirnich, owner of ramp rats bike,skate park, there were about 50 to 60 riders in the contest witch consisted of an am and pro class. the highlights where plentiful including a tail whip to Ruben wall ride by nick noble and a flair whip attempt by Ari petit which was a bad crash that ended up in him going into compulsions,

a really bad crash that had everyone there scared that he had broken his neck. eventually he came back too and was taken to the hospital but before being taken away he waved to us letting us know he was ok.. keep ari in you priers.

this past weekend i and doug went to 2hip's contest in treasure island, it was a 2 day event consisting of practice for both great and really great classes. ron w was the master mind the came up with the legendary meet the street contests. this year the ramps where sketchier then ever, there was a step up step down box jump that was built on a trailer that moved every time some one rode it, there were 3 spines, 3 wall rides, lots of ledges , a minivan that was horribly treated by all and ended up on its side. thanks to ron w for putting on the comp to all those who helped and all the riders who attended.

Lancaster ABA Race

Knight Bike Co.'s own Nick Valencia just got home from a race trip in Southern California in the high desert of Lancaster. He was greeted on Saturday with a good rain shower which made for a dirty main event. Nick isnt such a mudder so 4th on Saturday while sliding around the track was his best effort. Sunday was his day to shine as well as the suns, and Nick took his Knight Retro V Bars to the main event win, and as always it's a special occasion because this is Nicks first win since his ACL reconstruction last November. Congrats Nick and clean that bad boy up alright?

this year was the best one yet if you ask me or nickdawg, the week started when i met up with Ron w and some of the 2hip crew at the great mall, we took of to Pasadena to pick up the new catalogs to pass out at the event. soon we were in Vegas and tired but had to immediately go the the convention center to set up the booth. during the day me and nick hung out at the 2hip booth and at night we went out on the town. Wednesday was the noracup, it was awesome, 2 hour open bar, all the pros and some shady drunk people. we where lucky to see riders like Stephen Murray, josh Harrington, joey Garcia, and the one and only cru jones, who later took a pic with nick. on Thursday night we decide to go to a gentleman's club witch was a horrible idea, after only 20 minutes i was down $80 so i was not happy.

on the drive back nick and i decided to stop at a ghost town called colico. it was cool but not $6 Worth, we saw an old mine and a house made out of glass bottles. after the stop at the ghost town back to norcal we headed, so we thought.... we stooped to get gas as i was telling nick his car was making some nasty sound from the motor, soon after we left the gas station there was a huge cloud of smoke coming out of his exhaust pipe. luckily we made it back to the bay just in time. his car is done for, it sounds like it has rocks in the motor.

Haha hows that for a picture? When I said we had a good trip to the NBL grands the pictures cant do it justice...

16 bikes on a Ford Escape was only the beginning.. 4 guys, 5,000 miles, 7 states, and I dont have a bad thing to say about any part of the whole trip. Heres a shout out to just hitting the road and letting go of everything that ties you down. Race wise things went very well for myself after not touching my bike for sometime due to injuries I served notice that Im a serious contender still and with the 2009 worlds lurking closer and closer, I look forward to getting fast and securing yet another World ranking. Obviously thanks to George for the support in all things I do and would love to meet and greet with any Knight Bike Co supporters so Email me sometime if your attending a race that you think I might be at- dawgincnorcal@aol.com Enjoy a few pics and remember the only thing stopping you from traveling here and there is your mindset...

Whats up guys? This is my first short,brief post that will be a little better in the future but wanted to get something up and make sure it worked correctly. Just completed the 32hour drive from Gilroy, Ca to Louisville, Ky for the 2008 NBL Grand Nationals. Trip was fun like always but a 30 hour trip can suck up energy. hello Endo here, recently nickdawg and i decided to attend a bbq at stonegate skatepark, set up by some of the local riders, this kind of events are always fun because riders from all over the bayarea show up to shred. the day was going great, everyone was having a great time, food was on its way and the riders like mike paker where killing the park. nick and i where taking it easy and riding the 1/4 pipes, then i decided to do a tobaggon air, as you can see i broke my foot, not cool man, well after going to the local hospital it turns out i broke my tibia and the inside ankle bone, not as bad as i thought considering how much i was crying according to nick.

my day was ruined by my injury but like true bmxers the riders still rode and cooked, so it was not a total loss.

thanks to all the guys who helped me to my car, nickdawg for driving me to the hospital and bailey for taking a huge crap in my front seat.

It is a tribute to one of the greatest freestyle frames from the 80's and the rider who rode it Eddie Fiola. It now needs to go get powdered and built-up. Will post pics once the bike is done.
